It's not about the money as much as it was about the fun to drive factor(when not towing). The Lightning(now getting older) is a blast to drive. I had it when I bought the 311, tried it out as a tow rig, granted its not the norm, but it worked for me. SH, you act as if my trailer is a single axle with no brakes, its not it's a tri-axle w/six brakes. I believe the trailer does most of the work. And for the truck, It's not a normal 6 cylinder F150, the trucks a little brute, with plenty of power, brakes and suspension to do what I'm asking of it. I don't know about you, but during our 6 month boating season, my boat is in the water more then on the trailer. Believe me, I do plenty of worrying, and I do care about the other drivers, but God for bid, If the DOT is ever going to come down on me, they can have my payments! Your pompous, holier than vow comments are getting old.
And for you BYRDMAN, does the word wigger mean anything to you? if your truck sways at highway speeds, its not doing the job, pretty simple to understand.... i wouldn't mess with byrdman too much, he does his chit right, he pulls his 46 skater with a semi and has cigs and apaches that he pulled with a dually... you guys kill me with how defensive you guys get with doing something that is not only illegal, but unsafe and just plain stupid.... this place is always good for a laugh. |
