No comparison in this post, just an experience. I borrowed a friend's F-350 PSD dually to pull my 30 Powerquest on a triple axle trailer. I am guessing about 11K loaded. Anyway, it pulled it like a dream. I have a little experience with the 7.3 and this 6.0 motor pulled much stronger and got better mileage to boot. The only change I would make is getting 4 wheel drive. The dually had a little wheel spin on the ramp.
I agree with Chris S. His post applies to the farmer's I have observed. I believe there is a higher number using Ford's than other manufacturers. And believe me, the farmers will work a truck! |

Yah, that's where i drove to get my Dodge Cummins and that's all we saw on the roads were old dodge diesels. |

We have a Ford F350 4X4 PSD we bought new with 259K on it and it is solid as a rock, no rattles. We also have a 2000 Dodge Durango we bought new and now has 109K on it. It seems as soon as we hit 90K on it, things started going wrong, little things like the power mirrors acting up, power window motors, etc. Now it's using antifreeze and there isn't a puddle under it so it doesn't look good. Just my .02 on Ford vs. Dodge.

Buck I'd think that more people buy duramaxes because they have to replace them every other year, but hey... I was at the local Mastercraft dealership looking for some new bindings and they have 2 cummins and 2 duramaxes and are happy with all four. They use the Cummins for long hauling and the duramaxes for driving short distances. Both the duramaxes have power pup downloaders and banks intake and exhaust. |

for 1/2 tons, i see a chitload of chevys and dodges, more so than ford. |

I think they are all great trucks. I truly hope all of the big three continue to grow and profit with great success. My living is greatly appreciated by their success....regardless of brand.
