i was actually thinking the larger stature of a 4500 might help my aero. My trailer is a 44' gooseneck with additional height (2'6" extra) so the taller truck in front break the air and reduce some of the large flat area on the front of the trailer.

an FL is i think going to be too much. Its just a larger vehvicle than i need or feel like driving.

FWIW- my experience is/was towing enclosed gooseneck race trailers, an 11' tall box. The aero is a much bigger factor than anything else- just like wetted surface area of a boat, lots of box to slide through the air. I can get a digit or two better mpg if I slow down to less than 70, but on a 20+ hr trip going cross country it adds up too fast.

Thanks bone head...i spent all day finding this crap only to find out it was a 8.1 gas job and your price is bs.....nice job....only lost about 2 hour today.....crappin purple stuff.

Byrd, call Mat Raymond on here, www.sandersford.com go to staff and his number and pic are there, he had a black Kodiak, and also could get you a 450 or 650. Great guy to deal with...

I wanted a f 550 with a nice hauler bed.....like the one jc posted but it was only 2 wheel drive....i will look at the one my man bernie has....I need it to double as company vehicle also....so you can see why i was tring to keep it to f 550....maybe i can deal with the 4500.....it is a good looker....have to see it in person....I will rip that pig through any drive through...me and masher
