First towing test of LBZ Duramax.
My nephew and I pulled my 43 foot Black Thunder from Lake Cumberland to Nashville today. What a work horse. 75 MPH and 2000 RPM. Much more stable than my old dually. I love this truck. I installed a Mag Hytech trans pan and diff cover. Trans temp got all the way up to 150 degrees. If you pull heavy loads you have got to check out one of these trucks. Joe Murray

Do you know how much difference there is between the 06' and 05' in terms of towing? Ken.

Re: First towing test of LBZ Duramax.
LBZ has 45 more ft lbs of torque and a six speed Allison. No chips or exhaust available yet but should be soon. No pics yet but I will get one with the boat when I pick it up from the upholstery shop. Joe Murray

Re: First towing test of LBZ Duramax.
I have an lb7 duramax, I never really understood the advantage of towing w/ a diesel until I towed my Topgun from TX-Mi., through the hills of tennessee! I couldnt imagine doing it w/ my old ford v-10. The allisson didnt like to down shift so I kept it 70-75mph to keep rpm's above 1800 and it just ate up the hills. I dont think the v10 would of made it up some of the hills let alone without down shifting. I was amazed.
