Input on Dodge Rams & Denali
 

i just got a 27 Mag so that means i will have to sell my Audi, even though the boat most of the time will be staying on the lift behind the house, i still need a truck owning a boat. Do yall have any input on the dodge ram 1500 small v8. looking for pros and cons. Do yall think the small v8 would do. Do yall think i would need to get it 4x4 for a 27 Mag (this truck won't be used to pull my dad's Cig). Thanks in advance

well....why don't you look for a nice pick up 4x4....1 ton...you can get some ford diesels for under 10 g.....clean if you look....I said clean....there is plenty of doctored up junk out there...

if your gonna purchase get the bigger v-8 and a 4x4 in that truck the gas mileage is about the same and the larger v8 will do better on the highway.

1500 Ram get 4X4 just for resale and helps at wet ramps.

You can go with 3.55 gears be fine. Don't tow in OD.

I got a 97 new 360 gas 2500 4.10's and pulling my 35 and 42 around. Plow and pulled sled trailers North. 105k mi and still strong. Just rebuilt rear end at 90k. Mileage will be 14 on 1500 with 3.55.

I still need a diesel for long hauls. Soon.
