I think she is getting the Porsche...of course I'm pushing her that way too. :evilb: :D We talked on the phone last night ( I'm on the road with biz) and she really feels the interior and the drive of the new Mercedes S-E and especially CLS are not as nice as the BMW 5-6-7 series. Personally I like the S series but I think she like the sporty drive and looks of the BMW's.

My wife just traded in her 2002 MB E320 4matic sedan for a 2006 BMW 530Xi sportwagon. The BMW has a much sportier ride..... The MB feels more like a bank vault............

You will loose....the M5 not only pulls ahead soon after take off, but it gains even more distance in each turn. BMW makes much more car for the money. Better handling hands down and none of that cheap supercharger HP....just pure N/A engineering. The winner is M5 all the time, unless you race to 60feet and stop. I (and wife) would be happy with both, but we seem to spend money on boats these days. The best(0-60, and 1/4mile) results for an E55 never pass anything an M5 can do at best....so yes it has come to driver, until we get on the turns. seeeeeeya

If you are looking for an opportunity to check out the BMW's lineup the Driving Experience they offer at their plant in Greenville, SC is a cool way to check them out. You get to spend about 4 hours beating them into the ground :D Neat experience!
