D or E load range?
 

Ive got a 2000 F-250, putting some new tread on it. Should I go with D or E load range? pulling a 36' baja with it.

E.....You cant beat a stiff sidewall for towing....I run the rears at Max cold when towing & lower them to about 60 empty.
I tried Ds...To much "squish" for my tastes

Definately E.

I recommend the BFGoodrich All Terrain KO or the BFG Rugged Trail; both come in many sizes in load range E. The A/T KO is probably one of the best tires on the market.

I also have tried the Cooper Discoverer AT; now the ATR. I had load range D tires, and I liked them.

My dually now has Michelins and they are also a great tire.

i like dunlop's rover e series...they really last and ride quality is pretty good...i put on about 25k per year in a 2500 4x4 suburban, and i tow lots of various things..i like 65-70 lbs all the time, towing or not...but with such a big boat, birdog's advice sounds good...good luck

Load range D tires don't have the capacity rating for that much weight.

E for sure, Yokohama Geolander HTS is a good towing tire available in E range, put some on a 3500HD handle well and seem to be lasting.

You have a 3/4 ton truck, I wouldn't even consider anything less than E-rated tires, especially with the load you're towing (that's a big boat).

D's are for 1/2-tons, driveway ornaments, and so excursion-driving soccer moms don't poke themselves in the eye with their make-up.

Toyo's. Still have good ride quality and wear well, only downfall is $$$ there D rated tire has the same gvw as some E's

Got E's today. thanks for the responses.

I bought the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. Supposed to be state of the art with kevlar in it.
