Which would you choose and why? Dodge 1500/2500 quad cab 4x4 5.7 Hemi or Chevy/GMC 1500/2500 crew cab 4x4 Vortec Max?

After owning a 99 dodge quad cab 4wd w/360 that got 9 mpg empty and 5 mpg towing 7000 lbs I would NEVER consider another one even if they have supposedly improved,Smitty

Chevy or GMC 2500HD with the Duramax/Allison combo is the best. I love my GMC

if you woun;t it ti ride like a caddy get the gm . if you want a work truck and one you can 4 wheel with get the dodge .ctd rember dodge has the power wagon. comes with elec lockers front and rear warn winch 4.56 gers 33 bfg :drink:

GMC 1500, I have a GMC 1500 200,000 miles on my 5.3. 17-18 mpg on highway and 12.7mpg towing a 30' scarab panther @ 65 mph, at 70 mph the gas milage drops to 11 mpg. on my 2nd tranny though but that was self inflicted.

Friend has a Chevy 2500HD 8.1L and he gets 12 mpg highway and towing my scarab 6mpg. On snowmobile trips to the U.P. when he insists on taking his truck over mine, i feel that I am throwing a dollar bill out the window every mile.

Cousin has 2500HD Duramax with the Edge computer system. on economy setting he gets 21-22 mpg, and on 5 the high setting he gets 22.6 Lbs. of Boost and Posi marks all the way down my street!!!

My next truck will be a 2500HD Duramax.
