Maybe look at the installation of equalizer bars if you are towing on the tongue. I have an F150 Supercrew 5.4 around 8700lb towing cap. and I tow right at 6500. I wanted it to ride alot better and the difference is actually incredible! I had them installed at a camper place and it was the only the 2nd time they had done it on a boat. After they tuned the hook ups and did a test drive, the install techs were extremely impressed. I didn't need to do this but for $300 it was some of the best money I have spent, and really worth it when it comes to my 4-5 hour rides to Table Rock Lake. They take all the "lunging and the bouncies" out going over overpasses and other bumps and depressions on the hwy. Oh and I usually over do everything i get my hands on. Make it right and bulletproof or don't do it at all....

I pulled a 43 NorTech on an Aluminum trailer a total of about 15000 miles in 03 and 04. Weight was 15000 lbs plus.It did a great job, could set the cruise in OD and it wouldnt shift down unless it was real windy or on a big overpass, and I always ran 75mph.A Dually would be more stable but in my opinion not worth the aggravation for everyday driving. I put Michelens on that were 10 ply, could inflate to 80lbs when towing, and back to 45lbs for everyday use and softer ride, worked for me.Great truck, still in my fleet.
