Stopping the DING-DING-DING Sound

Does anybody know how I can stop the "dinging" alarm when I leave the key in the ignition on my 2001 Chev Pickup? It drives me crazy. Can't even have it on "ACC" with the door open. There must be a way to defeat it.

The chime is under the dash, find it and put some duct tape over it. This will make it liveable.

I've got a 1996 chevy truck and took the whole buzzer assembly out......then the seatbelt reminder didnt work so i took the buzzer assembly appart and took out the buzzer out....now everything works properly and no more buzzer :D

it tells you in the owner man.. its something crazy, like open the window, shut the window, click your seatbelt 8 times, close the door, open the door.. im serious.. check your man, its in there......... tantrum did it, it took a few times toget it right but he got it to shut off....
