I've got an 03 burb. The chip only adds a few ponies (30-35) and supposedly 1-2 MPG (I doubt it) but you must run 93 octane on the chip....kinda defeats the purpose of better gas mileage if the gas cost you more per gallon.

easiest thing to do is switch to a k&n filter, thats should give a mile or so

Try www.wait4meperformance.com. It's not a chip. You can buy a programmed PCM from them for $160, and if you can do without your stock one, you can send it back as a core and get back $70 or $80 (I think that's the core price).

You should add a K&N filter and aftermarket muffler first, then have it programmed with those mods. Should get a little better, and you don't have to buy Premium fuel.

I would look at the Hypertech Programmer, you can find them for about $300 on ebay. Tune it for regular fuel and put a K & N air filter in it.

The alternative is to do a dyno tune where you telll them to tune it for MPG and NOT performance.

www.ls1truck.com

Best all around bang for buck is a "custom" PCM re-tune from a listed tuner. Some will have PCMs they can send so there's no down time.

But in the end, don't expect much more than 1-2mpg from any mods; those things are just fuel hogs. The full-time AWD (if equipped) is the biggest problem.
