2006 F-350 loss of power

My truck doesn't seem right. When you are driving it it feels like you are pulling 20,000 pounds. Hills on the highway that shouldn't even phase it I have to floor it to keep the speed in the 60's. These are hills that I have towed my boat up faster. I took it to the dealer and he thought that it needed a new fuel filter or that I had waited too long between oil changes and that the injectors may not be getting enough pressure??? I changed both and the truck is no better. Any ideas???? P.S. there iare no codes in the system i.e. "check engine or service engine soon".

I checked website, possible egr valve, plugged or sticking. Have Turbo checked, possible something to do with the hoses, vanes sticking and so on. Good Luck. Jeff

Couple things i knew that happended on mine Back presseure valve for the rurbo would not release. It honestly had half the power it should have. Also cam sensor higly unlikley but you never know. Im not to sureabout the oil changing because i have guys come into my shop with 20k on the oil still runs like day one. There is a dual fuel pump on that one in take and one on the frame. A pusher and a high pressure chack those also let us know how you made out see if we can do anymore

Are you noticing any black smoke in relation to the loss of power?

Two things that come to mind, depending on mileage would be a clogged EGR valve or the variable turbo is sticking. Both have been recuring problems in the 6.0 and can both result in loss of power under load (climbing hill or towing).

That's what I was thinking too. Mind had a clamp come loose at the Y pipe and had major loss of power. I was pretty sure the turbo was done but turned out I was fine. Quick fix by the dealer and I was back up and going.

No black smoke, but definately struggles uphill or even towing an atv trailer. Thanks for the info.
