Air brakes on truck, electric on trailer - Problem? Compatible?

All,

If you have a truck with air brakes, and you have a trailer that has electric brakes, is this going to be a problem?

What I'm thinking is this - if you have an electric brake controller in the cab controlling the trailer brakes, doesn't it work by pedal pressure? And with air brakes, the pedal pressure is more sensitive than with normal brakes on the truck.

Any insight would be appreciated...

No it works fine. Brake controllers either work on inertia or on a timer

I pull every day with this set up. I have a GMC C7500 with air brakes and a 25,000lb flatbed with electric brakes. Controler in the cab runs the trailer brakes.
