Found this on the net.....this guy went to 16K putnam...and why I just ordered one for mine

and to think that 1500 Chevy couldn't pull a 47 Fountain through the mountains! It has a V8, lift kit, exhaust and a new tranny cooler. Who would have thought this might happen!

sure looks like a vechile or something ran into the back of that truck,and it looks like a 2500hd truck,it douesen't look like its from a trailer weight problem

That's on a 2500 Avalanche. He changed to a Putnam XDR as I did.

Show us the rest of the truck and why it needed to be flatbeded. Wonder if he got some nasty sway and trailer took the truck with it (rolled maybe?)
I'm not trying to defend an overloaded setup, just want to see/have all the info. |

It's almost criminal that manufacturers place 10K+ tow ratings on these trucks, then put 5K hitches on them. They should at least spell it out CLEARLY.
Of course, it's ultimately the operator's responsibility to know what they're doing. |
