22.5 wheels for gmc 5500
Who Knows Where I Can Get These? I Want To Put 22.5 On Our 5500
Mike Stancombe |
Anyone?

check www.americanforcewheels.com www.chromewheel.com www.brentzwheels.com I dont know the bolt pattern or lug count on the rig to be further but chrome or afw are 10 lugs with adaptors to fit the duallys brentz is direct bolt on in 8 lug but if you needed a certain bolt pattern he could probably do it. Afw has a crap load to choose from for styles like brentz.

sell that gm junk and get yourself a nice ford... you cant polish a turd.... poor fella...
|
well we have both and for the money the gm is great
stecz......kick yourself :D |
We put 22.5 on our 07 dually and I can tell you that I looked at alot of wheels and the Alcoa's were the only ones that could confirm a weight rating that we were comfortable with for hauling responsibly, especially long distances. When you get into wheels that size a custom wheel with more cutouts may jeopardize the integrity and strength of the wheel. You only have acouple to choose from but when you go with a wheel that big it looks bad a__ anyway. And even if you have spacers and a lift watch your wheel wells, the tires and wheel may still not work.
Good luck. |
Brent has 22.5 and are hubcentric and load rated. pm me and I'll set you up with a price to your door, with or without tires. 4 billet with steel inners...Rob

check classified on oso. Someone is selling these I think.

rims
check a semi parts place around you can buy them brand new cheaper from them . Cya Cory and yes for the money you could buy two chevys for the price of one ford. 50,000 for the chevy 90,000 for the ford 110, ooo freightliner. I stick with the chevy

I just bought a set out of texas(4wheelcustomz.com)...tires on alcoa's,adapters, lugs and caps delivered for $4500...they were here in 5 days:D

forgot a site to add as well. www.cwdima.com

Brent called me today and all his 22.5's will have adapters for now, the other material to make them wont be available to him for another 4 months. We got to talking about it and he was very honest, it's very expensive to make them and the tires that are out there for them aren't that great, they are good for heading to the lake and looking cool...But for balls out work and towing the 19.5's are the way to go. He also does 17 inch for the single wheel guys...so there it is straight from the manufacturers mouth...make sure everyone compares apples to apples.

I did an earlier thread on the problems I encountered trying the 22.5s/adapters(what a waste),,,but different strokes for different folks. |

I totally agree, and have wasted the money to prove him right, my 06 f350 dually has Brentz 19.5x6.75 classics with 265/70r19.5 michelins on them and there is no camparison between the 22.5/adapters and the direct fit 19.5s,,,,19.5s all the way.

your right, one of the other companys knocked off Brents adapter and is using cheap chinese metal and lots of them are cracking,...so be careful what you buy, remeber if its cheaper, there is usually a reason why.
They wouldn't be using the initials of A.F. would they? hmmm |

If you currently have a 10 lug on 11.25" circle the 22.5's will bolt right up. Stick with the alcoa's...load rated and have virtually no runout.
|
I think that the 5500 has a great big 8 lug pattern now that I thought about it. Check www.southwestwheel.com and see what they have. If they cannot get you a large bolt pattern 8 lug 22.5, you can probably get adapters through arrowcraft.
