2006 F-250............:(

1 Attachment(s)
The third week of April last year I took delivery of my new F-250. It now has just over 65,000k on it and yesterday took it back to the dealer telling them to get me another truck. I know it is not the dealers fault as they do not build them but I have had it in twice for the front end, it bottoms out going over ANY bump on the road, rear-end slams into gear, changes gear whenever it feels like it, the pattern almost never stays the same, climate control console might come on and work today, might not.....the truck tracks perfect but as soon as I hit the brake it my stay straight...or....dart to the left or for fun go to the right...........no pattern either, window on drivers side is screwed too. Just got the lemon of the bunch I guess but have had no luck or success with the truck. Funny part is........I drive this for business and I am in sales, don't even use it for what it is built for, just haul the boat in the summer.............dealer gave me a new GM half tone to drive while they fix mine........funny.

Anyone else have problems with these trucks? when I researched a tow vehicle, the Ford is said to be the truck to go with.

That's why 70+% of the commercial light-duty fleet market is comprised of Ford F250/f350 trucks. Because they're so bad.

Because they handle the manufacturing volume and sell at proper price point. I bet my dodges brake down just as often though. Sorry for being so offensive. Jeesh

We have a 2003 Dodge 2500 CTD and a 2005 Ford F250 6.0 PSD.

We have changed oil in the Ford and we have changed everything except the engine itself in the Dodge.

I fidured I would be taking **** for that comment.

Yes i traded my 06 4x4 PSD King Ranch SuperCrew after 1 year and 33K. In the shop many times for a front end shimmy on rough road or bumps. It is a know problem and dealer admitted to it but could not fix it. I think they adjusted my tire pressure at least 6 times. Received hail damage while in for repair one time. Hook up the boat and you couldn't keep the truck between the lines. Ford said it was with in the specs and to be expected with a HD truck. They wouldn't even go as far as to fix my hail damage or extend my warranty.

two different oil leaks

Seat heater broke once

front hub popping at full lock, they denied there was an issue

Put the boat in the marina traded for a 1/2 ton. Took a bath on it. Had Ford attempted to help i would not have traded.

I miss the fuel economy and power.

I had an 05 Dodge 2500 6-speed, decided to go to an automatic and went wtih the Ford since I did not like the seats in the Chevy. I had the Ford in the shop 3 times within three months of buying it. I am now back in a Dodge 6-speed Cummins. I have owned 3 cummins trucks in the last several years and the only problem I have had was a lift pump in my 2001 which is common.

It is well documented that Ford has had several issues out of the 6.0 trucks. I liked a bunch of the features the Ford had, but I have to be able to trust that my truck is not going to leave me and my load on the side of the road.

My cousin works for the local Rescue department. They have a fleet of 7 Ford trucks. They have 4 7.3 trucks and 3 6.0 trucks. The 6.0s have been in the shop constantly for turbo and other problems, the 7.3s have been great overall.

I am a fan of "drive what you like" but I would rather shift gears than go back to Ford.

THIS JUST IN ***

I thought I'd share. Just went to pick up my F-350 King Ranch after it being in the shop for over two weeks (4th time for the same problem, btw).

Upon starting the vehicle, I notice a 1-foot horizontal crack in the windshield in front of the passenger from a stone chip.

So I go back inside and talk to the sales manager. He said that since I can't prove it wasn't there when I dropped it off, he's unwilling to replace it. I told him it wasn't there when it was brought in. We go back and forth for about 5 minutes like this. I figure I better leave before I do something I regret and end up in jail for assault.

Called my insurance - $100 deductible. Almost not worth fighting over, but it's the point - I bought one of the most expensive trucks Ford makes, and this is the kind of customer service they give.

My next truck will NOT be a Ford. I'm sad to say that, because that's all I've ever bought since I was old enough to drive.

If your in Fl at the moment, there is no deductible for windshields here.

I got an 06 F-350, with ~5000 miles, and no problems, yet, except for a little body warranty work. Sorry to hear about your problems, hope Ford takes care of them

9 Fords, 6 GMC, and 1 Dodge, since 02. Over all Im a GM man, but have had the best luck using the Fords for my construction business. They haul, tow and breakdown slightly less than my GM's, and we push them harder cause they can take it. Jeff

These Ford stories are scaring me I bought my 06 F250 6.0 diesel sw crew last April and thankfully thus far no problems and just turned 15k miles and I really like my Ford.
