electric or electric hydraulic
what's the difference? Just got a Myco trailer with my 353 and got a tekonsha prodigy controller. It says not for use with electric-hydraulic systems. What's the difference between the two?

Electric over hydraulic . uses a hydraulic motor that is powered by the electric brake controler which then uses oil to supply the brakes. Electric brakes use magnetic coils on the brake end. the electricity from your brake controler travel back to you brakes and uses the drum to cage the brakes . Buy a new controler and stay with the electric over hydraulic by far the better system . on my trailer some time the electric brakes will delay 2 to 3 seconds before engaging.

Electric over hydraulic is by far the best. I use a Tekonsha voyager with my Brake-rite system. Has a safety cable that will activate the brakes in the event of disconnect. You can also use this feature to bleed the system by yourself.
