Question for 2001 -2006 Chevy owners

I am retrofitting the large manual extending tow mirrors on my 02' 3500. Does the factory install these with heat on its own switch. Also does the heat stay on for a set period of time like most rear window defrosters. Thanx

they will physically fit, but the wiring is different, go to the www.dieselplace.com site someone figured out the wiring pin outs for the switch in the exterior section I believe

I can't accurately comment on the O2 year mirrors, I have an O3, with heated mirrors. I can tell you the answer to your timing question, yes, the heaters are on a timer, just like the rear window defrost. The switch resides next to the rear defrost switch. I would expect that you could easily retrofit heated, extendable mirrors to your truck. dieselplace.com, exteriors section.
