I can't say anything bad about the fords, we only own one and that does not tow, its a new 2007 stang.....LOL! I am just sold on the cummins, the reliability is just toooo good. Another friend here has an 04 cummins powered ram, all kind of work done to it and it will out run (kill) my stang that runs a 13.7 1/4 mile time, funny seeing a truck run so quick....and the smoke, well we all know the smoke trail.....LOL

Back in 1997 GM only had about 5% of the market, not bad for about 7 years of DDmax.
From the diesel place article.

The Sierra/Silverado HD diesel pickups have gained considerable ground against Ford and Dodge, with GM's market share now approaching 32% of all heavy-duty diesel pickups sold in North America. This trend will likely continue as refinements in both driveability and performance are added each new model-year.

How could you stand the noise of a cummins? Sounds like a gang of blacksmiths working under the hood.

I drove a Cummins before buying a DMax / Allison. The cummins is the loudest of the 3 on the market right now by far.

The Allison transmission in the Chevy is a large part of why I bought it. Remember, a good engine is only half the battle and I've heard more than one Dodge owner complain about transmission reliability in the diesels.

Have had all three . Dodge is by far the worst . GMC is OK but Ford is more user friendly, reliable ,comfortable, and in my opinion head and shoulders above. Again Dodge should not even be considered.

Gotrid of my 06 dodge, lost the injector pump twice, the second timein new mexic0 at 2:30 in the morning had to call a wrecker get it towed to albequerque sleep in the cabtill the dealer opened up 1 hr later from whenI got there and had the next bad experience with the service at dodge. A lot of other little things like the ac gate valve going bad a couple of times and other junk. Went to a duramax and no trouble, actually have an 03 duramax when I bought the dodge and the dodge was my daily, no more dodges for me.
