will this tow my boat ?

I have a 25ft convincor boat and I was wondering if a 2002 jeep grand cheerokee with a 6cyl. would work. I only have to go about 4-5 miles and there are no hills. Thanks, John

That only matters if you have some magical way to ensure nothing will ever go wrong.

If not, it's probably not enough truck, even if all the mechanical systems of both the truck & trailer are flawless.

Look through this section at the hundreds of posts about towing with an insufficient vehicle. You'll quickly see why it's not a good idea.

The Grand Cherokee is a terrible tow vehicle. I used one with a V8 to tow a 27' sportboat one time. It sags a lot!!! Engine had enough power (again a V8) but the 'truck' was not stout at all.

I used to tow a 201 Liberator with an 89 Grand with a 6.......it was all that truck wanted to tow, but I would tow 100 mi round trip........5 miles?......it would probly do it
