the reason I ask is becasue was offered that bike + cash for my topkick. I'd probably only want to play with the bike for a little while and sell it in the spring. Think it's worth 10k ?

here is another really silly question how do they ride? I've never riden anything remotely like that. I've always had sports bikes or mx/trail bikes.

Most choppers(note I said most) ride like s**t, wrong steering geometry, no suspension, to wide a rear tire so it doesn't track well in curves,,etc, etc, etc.
I ride a bagger Harley but have played with other bikes,,no comparison, the market is way soft on almost all toys, and particularly bad on bikes/choppers, because like previously stated, every Tom Dick & Harry thinks they can build one and really doesn't have a clue what their doing other than assembling parts..so now the market is flooded with so so quality bikes.Personally if I was going to buy a custom of any sort, it would be either a Thunder Mountian(built on a factory H-D and warrantied by H-D, or in the aftermarket it would probably be an American Iron Horse(decent quality).
No market for hardtail bikes of any make/brand.

This is an opinion not meant to offend anyone in any way.

I rides like crap, but you'll look cool pulling in the bar. At least that what i tell people when they ask about mine. Good for and extra bike but not as a primary driver. Plus unless you know how to work on it your at the Shop mercy for having something custom ( extra charge)
Better off with a stocker if your not used to riding them yet. I also take older Harley and do customs because then its still a Harley in the end not a no-name thing. But I do have a WCC Cfl frame in the attic waiting for the next donor.

So Straightjacket, is that a real functioning kicker, or is it one of those show piece ad ons on your shovel.
And your right, you do look cool pulling up in front of the bar,,,,,as long as the bars not far from home...lol

StraightJacket 09-08-2007 07:36 AM

The bike is Kick over electric. when at the bars I will kick it just to prove it , usually one or two kicks and I'm gone. Pretty good for a bike with 10.5:1 's in it and a nice cam. Its a 88"

"you'll look cool pulling into the bar"........I totally understand that.......then why do 98% of these bikes just have a solo seat?......how are you going to take the hot chicks you impressed at the bar out for a ride???.......Ive never understood that.......signed ex sportbike rider:confused:

StraightJacket 09-08-2007 10:06 AM

If the chick is that Interested they will wait till I get back with the Road King
