I bought one (RR) in '96, piece of crap, big time. Sold it back to the dealer (Tulsa) when they couldn't figureout a problem, took a cab to the chevy dealer and bought a Tahoe to drive home. Its a funny story now but it wasn't at the time.
When the new bodystyle came out I was dumb enough to buy another one (2005)! But, it has been a great car and I have received great service from the Tulsa dealership. The sport is the best looking SUV on the market, just a little small for me. Good luck. |

I have a 2007 RR Sport Supercharged and I'm verry hapy with the vehicle. I 've had it for 4 months now and no problems yet. I think it's the best looking SUV made. It has 390 HP and moves out very well.--the brakes are unbelieveable (14.2" 4 piston Brembo brakes).........better than anything I have ever driven before. If you don't wear your seatbelt, you will go through the winshield!
Max towing is 7716 lbs with a braking trailer. It's a solid driving vehicle. I have no problem passing cars on the road with the exceptional power. It also handles very well on the road. Mine is Stornoway Grey color and is sweet! Before getting my vehicle, I was concerned about RR's previous reputation becuase it wasn't good. I did alot of asking around to owners (I'm not shy) at 4 different dealerships before making my final decision on the vehicle. This was owners with 2004 and newer vehicles and they were very pleased with their vehicles. I had a 2005 GMC crew cab, 4x4, diesel. It was a great truck, but when I sold it (becuase I have no boat) I wanted the RR Sport Supercharged becuase it was more "nimble" than the RR (the bigger vehicle) The larger RR is very plush and alot more room, but felt a little like my big diesel truck. |

Had an 02 Range Rover and it was the worst vehicle I've ever owned. Twice it broke down on the way home from being "repaired" at the dealer. Big time POS!

BUT - our Jaguar XJR had begun arbitrarily going into "LIMP HOME MODE" where it won't go out of 3rd gear or over 30 miles an hour. The old saying - "The only thing British Cars are good at is leaking oil" BUT I got to tell you - when that SC kicks in and you run right beside some kid in their daddy's C5, or blow the doors off some kid's Rice Rocket, all while having 4 people in the lap of luxury in a 2+ton sedan - it'll make you love the car. Is the OBDII connection inside of one of the 47 fuse boxes in the car? I almost bought a vanden plas until I poked around my brothers XJ8... Once I saw that there is basically a chart you have to follow to find all the fuse boxes in the car, I decided it was a bad idea.:p |
