New bow stop pad
1 Attachment(s)
I hate the carpeted bunk - you can see it is marring my hull. Any chance I can get a non-marring pad like you see on the myco's? Where would I find them? My only concern is that this was a custom trailer by Manning and the 'slot' looks rather big - not sure if I will find a match. Thoughts?

Looks like a new trailer. Why don't you call Manning and discuss your problem with them. Maybe they have an alternative fix.

Shawn,
I have mine covered in thick white carpeting that I took from a scrap of carpet from the house. Works great. Give me a ring. |
Just an FYI guys-
Carpet is made of either polyester or nylon, both of them will scratch the gel over time. Need to go with something cotton or polyurethane like the rollers. |
I have always just used a towel when I did not have rollers up there.

The previous owner of my boat had the same problem. He got tired of repainting the front of the boat so he just did away wih the bow stop all together. So now it has 2- 10,000lb straps at the bow plus the crank strap and 2- 10,000 lb straps at the transom. It seems to work well so far although I have only towed 3- 100 mile round trips to Elsinore so far.Mike

I have 2 old Myco ones off my Myco, they still will make marks on it,but it will polish out

I have the non-maring, ureathane stops on my trailer.
They still leave marks. Just a different color now. However, a quick rub with some polish and they come right off. |
I have the Mycos, They definitely mark. I cover mine with orbital buffing pads that have the draw strings on the periphery. Cheap and easy to swap out.
