7.3L F250 4x4 with a DP tuner. I love this truck. Unfortunatley the wife made me get rid of my SRT-10 Ram to get it but oh well. The SRT-10 on the dyno: http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=MOV03448.flv |

I guess I need to upgrade. I tow the Fountain with a Tahoe on 24" wheels. I dont think it will even start to pull the Skater.

The combination boat and trailer comes in just below 18,000 lbs. The boat has trip 500's and I normally still have at least a partial fuel load when I pull her. The 2001 Dodge 3500 V-10 is a great truck and pulls the load just fine, however, stopping is a different issue. I would hate to have to stop in a hurry!
I have a 2006 Dodge dually with the 6 speed manual and if I don't downshift to help the brakes it takes a lot farther to stop. The medium duty Dodge trucks have huge 15" brakes plus the built-in exhaust brake so stopping is not a problem with them. |
