I think the southern guys will always get better fuel mileage. I drove my truck to North Carolina this past summer, I fuel in West Virgina a even driving thought the mountains I got the best mileage out of that tank of fuel that I have ever gotten. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.

All I know is I drove a new F-25- yesterday & I'm going to order one pretty quick! I was really impressed with how much nicer visually & feature wise they are than the GM products I so dearly love.

Glad to hear it! It is true, the new Fords are very nice; inside & out....The 6.4 is very powerful & quiet...just blew by a BMW on the i540, passengers were impressed with a diesel w/that kind of acceleration.

Ive noticed that also. 9-11 when new, now I have 1500 miles and getting a solid 12. I have been told mileage goes up drastically on job 3 trucks once you hit around 15-20k, per a few of the guys that haul weekly. Also Ford is looking at a flash to help in this dept as well.

Jassman what is a job 3 truck?

My understanding is that the orig first one's were job #1, then some changes were made like the fire breathing tail pipes were corrected on job #2 trucks. Some other changes like extending air intake tube by a few inches to induce more air in yeilding slightly better fuel economy. Also 3.55 gears are out now on the job #3 trucks. Stuff like that.
