[QUOTE=DALLAS;2456228]I Figured You Would Get A Run Going Back To The West Coast For The Same. And I Figured If You Would Charge 2 Grand Each Way Minus Gas That Wouls Still Leave About 800 A Day For Labor. Thats Taking Into Acount You Could Do It In 96 Hours. But Thanks Any Way I Will Find Some One Else Or Do It My Self[/QUOTE fuel is more

$2,000 is crazy. The only person that is going to transport anything for $1.00 per mile is a pizza delivery boy. I don't think I would want him hauling my boat.
Seriously, the diesel alone would be $1500. |
I was able to get my boat delivered for 1.00 a mile from alabama.....................................
Of course that was 8 years ago:D |

Now if you decide to drive out in you pickup you have the cost of fuel etc just to get there and back. On your way back up and down hills your transmission starts to overheat and BANG. Unless you have a vehicle with warranty thats another $2K+ out of pocket. Or your vehicle does have warranty, do you think some dealer in Gallup, NM will have a replacement in stock? Figure on lodging expenses for at least a week until the dealer orders the parts/transmission. Where are you now? IMO alot more than Jeff wants. |

Oh and by the way, since this thread started fuel has gone up about 20 cents a gallon. As we can all see Dallas just signed up on this site to find a transport, He has not even paind to be on here. Let him find out the hard way. His pretty eliminator will come to him looking like a bayliner.

i know someone who will tow for a buck a mile...he's a little shakey at times and his truck ain't the purdiest ,just put a new aero kit on for better fuel consumption..but he will get it done ...
call tyrone biggums at 1-888-smk -crak :evilb::D:D |
That's a fairly small boat and you don't need a Pete to pull it. Your best bet is to find a transporter who has to run the route empty anyway. Even that would probably be 1.50 a mile. Gas or diesel even in a 1-ton would eat up a lot of that.
