Help: Import new Kenworths to Canada
Anyone here know of a good broker to help with documentation to Alberta Canada? I have 7 new trucks Canadian Registry to register in Alberta. Border at SweetGrass Montana, then north. thanks.
I would call the montana customs office and ask them for some of the phone numbers for the brokers that have offices right there at the port.
thanks chub, I already did, called both sides. I have 3 broker referrals, Worldwide gal seemed easy to deal with ,fee is 3-500. per tractor.

using a broker that is right there at the port seems to be the way to go. They know the personalities of that crossing and what it takes to get the job done. hey, is your dealership ready for some 4 door 300's or a 4 door W-900?. There is no plastic in these trucks as you know is the case with the sportchassis
There is a dealer in calgary, alberta that advertizes a lot of Paccar trucks on truckpaper.com. I think he transports them through Montana as well. I've spoken to him and he seems like a nice guy who is experienced in the process and nuances.

once you understand how to do it then it just becomes a matter of paperwork being filled out right.

What about a 800W 4 door with the 600 Cat?
I would have to find out. I think the main body is the same as the w-900? the cab has to be metal and not fiberglass to make it work. The new cat is a 625hp but you can't get an ultrashift with that much power. the c-13 470 is the largest engine torque wise you can get. If you use a normal manual trans then you can use whatever you want
