Car dealer help: Can someone tell me what my Excursion is worth?

Walked into ford saturday,test drove a 2008 expedition EL.
Sticker was 44k $8,000 in rebates,trade value 2005 black limited excursion v10 70k $12,000.00
Thought for a minute and left.I will keep my Excursion.
I owe 24k on it,so Im upside down 12k,but they give me 8k
then I can pay 48k for the 2008 which will be worth 25 k next year Total loss 23k in 1 year? That excursion runs fine and it is getting roughly 11 mpg.My 05 diesel is getting 12mpg so f it.
Chris if you could invent the new car smell I will buy the first case.
