F 350 Pulls To The Left When Braking

HAVE a 2001 f 350 4x4 140.000 miles on it 7.3 when i hit the brakes it pulls to the left real hard and bounces a little , thinking ??? brake line or caliper , help !!

It could be a lot of things; tire, brake, bearing, hub, spring, shackle, shock.

Do you feel a vibration in the steering wheel when you brake? If so, you probably have warped rotor(s).

I had same issue ck the trans mount does it clunk some times?

dont gamble on safety issues!!!!

take it to the Ford dealer! it doesnt cost much to find out EXACTLY what the issue(s) are. your life is worth more than a set of pads, or other. so is the family of 5 in the minivan you may slam into and take their lives in an emergency braking situation with your trailer behind you. pulling in the brakes is 99 % of the time easily diagnosed.

the brakes are good , the tires are good , just put new shocks on , i think its a rotor , thanks for help

check the ball joints. A worn one can cause the front end geometry to change significantly under braking. Also check the comtrol arm bushings, same problem. A warped rotor will cause vibration but a severe pull??? not likelly

Agree, my truck pulled on braking, had to replace control arm bushings and ball joints. If you have a 140K miles they definitely need replacing if haven't done so, trucks wear those two parts out. I've replaced mine twice in 104K miles on an suv that see's no towing.

Have the front brake hoses checked.

My F-250 pulled with slight braking and the wheels turned. Felt like the tire started following a rut. It was the U-joint for the front drive.
