Rebuild brake calipers for trailer?

Trying to help my buddy with his Tie Down equipped trailer. Anybody ever have any luck finding parts for these things on a cross reference? Tie Down refuses to sell individual parts like piston seal and dust boot.

Sure does suck to spend $200 when a couple pieces of rubber might cost $10.

How about Kodiak? Would they sell a rebuild kit, or seperate parts?

www.championtrailerparts.com ought to have what you need.

Most of the time when calipers are bad, the pistons and bores are pitted. Take them apart before you order parts you can't use.

Ditto what Chris said, I bet they are toast. I have a buddy with tie downs and they are total junk. I have had great luck with my stainless steel Kodiaks and I think I recall reading somewhere they use small type/size piston as GM calipers.

Pistons and bores both cleaned up, caliper is fine. Only thing corroded is small spring that holds the boot.

Tie Down is useless when it comes to parts other than bleed screws and slide pins.
