FL DOT's top man in vehicle ins. training just left my shop dot is enforcing 70 % rule on any commercial trucks and buy commercial they mean any truck with a G.V.W.R of 10,000 or more and with that they are using the thought that any com. truck with tint of any visable type on the front windows as the reasone to be pulled over for inspection even a 70% film will meter around 62% becouse of dye in the factory glass

Joe if you look at your permit it says for florida if the boat and trailer wheigh more than 15,000lbs then the truck has to have a GVW of 26,001 and then it will also say that yoiur GVWR must be large enough to cover the truck, boat and trailer.
