Oil Bath Axles ??

Wanting to get some feedback from anyone using and oil bath lube system. I am rebuilding my trailer axles and considering getting away from grease. Ranger Boats has been using this type of system for several years but I don't see it on offshore applications very often.

Feedback??

I personally do not like them, if the seals fails you are guaranteed to get water in them and fail immediately. Plain old greased roller bearings have worked pretty well for a hundred years and they will last a lifetime with proper maintenance. I have had friend that did the right things with oil bath and still had a seal fail and burned up a hub.

Oil bath suck, my brother in-law had to have them 3 months later and alot of leaking he went beck to grease. I just bought all new disc brakes for my trailer and will have grease on mine.

loadmaster used them exclusively for a couple years and needless to say they replaced them with old grease and douple lip seals systems.if that tells you anything
