Onan carb rebuild kit
 

Anyone know where to get a carb rebuild kit for an Onan 4000 microquiet (4KY) generator? A local RV dealer quoted me over $500 for a new carb stating that EPA regulations would not allow them to rebuild them and imposed heavy fines if caught. This thing has only 24 hours on it and is started monthly.

I had a 'shade tree' lawn mower mechanic do mine, see if you can find one in your area.($35+ nice tip). I also looked at converting it over to LP and hopefully not having to worry about it in the future, that was also about $500 bucks. I did take it out and delivery to him though; they are heavy little units though close to 300lbs for mine.

Pulled the carb off yesterday and have a rebuild kit on the way.

WHERE did you find your kit at. i needed parts and was told not available, so i bought new carb for Onan 5000 $175. For the two parts i needed, felt it was worth it, plus saved time.
