Cadillac EXT--Leftover 2008

Hey group,

Was curious if anyone is in the know on the pricing for a leftover 2008 Cadillac EXT? The truck is loaded to the hilt and is new with 263 miles on it. Sticker is somewhere around 67-70...what's a great deal on it out the door with no financing needed? How much of a hit will I take on it if I keep it for just a few years? I do have GM Supplier discount as well if it matters.

Thanks!!!!

24k off sticker and you'll lose another 30% first year on top of that

I would think less they are selling for $41000 at the auctions.

So Buizilla...If truck is 67k sticker and I take 24k off, that's 43k and after owning it for a year it will be down 30% to 30100. So a truck that costs 67 originally is only worth 30k after a year? Holy balls batman...that's some SERIOUS depreciation!

BBIL,
Thanks for the info...you must be a guy "in the know"! That's great bargaining information right there.

Keep the info coming!

jeff1000man 12-30-2008 12:41 PM

If you want to find out what something is worth, send it to the auction.

Dave1972 12-30-2008 12:50 PM

BBIL--
So since you have that info...what is my truck worth (or auction price anyway)?

2002 GMC 1500HD SLT 4X4 86,xxx miles loaded.

jeff1000man 12-30-2008 12:53 PM

Good idea.

2004 Dodge 1500 quad laramie sport 4x2 110K miles

2004 dodge 3500 quad laramie 4x4 diesel 96K miles

Both auto trans.

Should be interesting.

Doesn't bother me. Mine are paid for, and I use the dually for running errands and moving the boat and my half ton is my work truck. Neither of them will get sold, because it is not worth the price of a new one to replae them.

I just keep geting more of them, I never get rid of them.

Dave1972 12-30-2008 03:04 PM

I'm with Jeff1000 on this one. Chances are I might even keep what I've got knowing that mine is maintained and worth more to me as a day-to-day driver than it would be on trade...just wanting a point of reference I guess.

Dave it looks like your truck holds its value better than the Escalade!

Probably about right.

I am going to put a cigrette sticker on the back window and some steps in the bed box so I can advertise for more than retail book on it. :party-smiley-004:

I know the feeling. I have about 14 vehicles right now and only 8 are for my work. Will not give them away so I take turns driving them just to keep the batts charged. AND that doesnot include Watercraft!!!
The state of OK loves me come registration time.

Dave1972 12-30-2008 07:57 PM

BBIL,
Thanks for getting that info to me. Is surprising to see the old bucket of bolts GMC holds it's value pretty well. Is one of those things where I've had it since new, never ANY problems with it and is hard to justify upgrading for 30k when I'm happy with what I have. Sure would be nice to have some of the fun bells/whistles though...we all like those!

Tx is starting to do the same things as OK as far as registration goes. Why did you guys ever let them start making you pay the taxes and registration based on the books?:angry-smiley-038:

NO problem. Take a look at an Escalade a few years old they are really cheap right now.

Billy, are the lower gas prices helping the SUV market or is the credit crunch still overbearing?
