water injection system
 

wondering if anyone has installed a water injection system on there diesel rigs yet and if so, haow did it work and are there any real benifits to this

When you say water I imagine that you are talking water/methanol injection. If you are talking water only, the only benifit you will see is 200 or so drop in Max EGT, maybe. For water/Meth I know quite a few guys that run it, not me. If you are running a stock truck it you won't see a whole lot of gain but they will be across the board. Lower EGT and a little more power, like 20 hp. If you are running a stock truck there are far better places to put your money. If you are running a modded truck, this a great option if your are having EGT problems.

Also, I would imagine that you are doing quite a bit of towing...plan roughly 7 gallons or so of water/meth per tank on a regular pick-up.
