anyone have remote start on there vehicle?
Looking to put remote start on my Nissan Titan, probably stupid however i have been thinking about it, would be super nice on the hot days, and even better on the cold days. Just wondering if you have the full out alarm system and If so what? Other wise do you have the remote start that works off the factory alarm key fob, that is what im thinking about getting?

I've got a Clifford system and love it. Up here we use it to get them heated up. I also have a diesel so it is nice, I can turn it on and walk away with the keys in hand and leave the truck running for up to 15 minutes.

I had remote start with a full blown Black Dog (Clifford components)alarm system (two F150's '01 &97) & it was great!! I had doors frozen shut at times with ice 1/4-1/2" thick......only way to get it open was start the truck w/remote (leave defroster on hig heat night before)!!
I have factory remote start on F150 also & a Chevy HHR.... same deal except the factory jobs usually have a time limiter in them to shut it off after about 5 minutes......
This is a great option to add. Do it... either way, but do it!!

get a 2 way system, that way u will know when its started. i didnt & regret it. on cold days i start it from my building & then walk out to parking garage where sometimes its started, sometimes its not. if i had a 2way i would know for sure its started.

I had one of the first remote starts back in 95. We had endless fun with it as nobody was familiar with them.

There are many good systems out. Make sure the installer knows what he is doing. A friend of mine installs them. He spends half his day fixing ones other people installed.

One of the best dollars you will spend,, Factory or aftermarket.. As long as they do it right... Like someone else posted.. Leave everything on the night before.( that will take gettin used too) but once you do.. Hit the button from in a resteraunt, when your waiting for the check... Walk out to warm car,truck,.... Hit it in the morning while your puttin the shoes on... Walk out to warm/cool vehicle..
It spoils you.... EASY... For a couple of bucks
