More power to them.
Maybe they will but it next to one of those late 70's Mustang II King Cobras.
Would be interesting to see it on display I suppose. But, still lame in my book.

Everybody that keeps comparing it to new cars needs to realize that it is not the same comparison. In 79 the TA was the best handeling car you could buy and it was the fastest car on the road. Compare the performance of the TA to a King Cobra and the TA wins hands down. Even the Vette back then was a pooch (180 hp). Let's compare apples to apples people.

Who's comparing it to new cars? In 79, I was 14 and in love with 10-year old Red ss396 Chevelle on my paper route!
My point is the late 70's was a horrible time for "cool NEW domestic cars". For me, as a collector car, the 79 trans-am wouldn't even make my top 100 list.
Not sure it would make my top 500 list!
On a more positive note though.... I do agree 100% that this t/a is indeed an incredible example from 1979.
