Manning Aluminum Trailers

Anyone own a Manning aluminum trailer. I have been talking to Ron and have one priced out but was trying to get some feedback from any owners. Pros. Cons. I have settled on either a Manning aluminum tri axle or a Loadmaster steel tri axle. Thanks

Manning makes a great trailer for the money, good company to deal with.

Great Trailers....

I can't speak for the Aluminum but their steel trailer I had under my Cafe was AWESOME. Had to get rid of it though because I'm in Salt.

Wanted them to build me an aluminum one but never could get anyone to call me back so I went a different route.

Will you do me a favor and PM me the price they are quoting you - I am real curious...

My buddy has his 38 Donzi on the aluminum Manning and I have a steel Manning for my 382, they are both great trailers and we would purchase again from Manning.

I have a 29' Formula on a Steel Manning....and have been very impressed. Super heavy duty, and very well constructed. IMO.

Thanks for the replies from everyone. Looks like I am going to get the Aluminum Manning. Do you guys have the Kenda Loadstar Karrier tires on yours? That is what Ron says will come standard on the trailer. I don't know anything about them and can't find much info good or bad about them.

pookie 08-29-2009 10:45 AM

Out of curiosity, are Manning less expensive than Myco for equivalent trailers?

tim brown 08-29-2009 01:09 PM

Ron quoted me a tandem axle alum. for $9000 and tri axle for $9500 for my 35 lightning sounded good to me .

I have the loadmaster for my 30' Baja. Very good trailer IMHO.

I have a 3 axle steel bunk manning under my old 34 Vyper, very nice trailer tows well and very solid, I have them building me a new 37 Aluminum this winter for my A/T and priced well under MYCO, very good people to deal with and very well built trailers, I would put them up against a MYCO anytime.

kjberman 09-03-2009 01:51 PM

I just picked my steel manning tandem for my 31 sonic about 3 weeks ago. I was very impressed with the construction. For the money its hands down a great trailer. I went with the drive guard as well, and tool box - highly suggest doing it for what they want for it!!

I appreciate all the feedback. I ordered the Manning tri-axle aluminum trailer with E.O.H. brakes, LED lights, 5 star mag wheels, and 15" wheels with D load range tires. It also comes with torsion axles. $8300 plus tax and $200 freight.

Are you sure you don't want 16"s and load range "E"s?
.

diggin H20 09-04-2009 08:17 AM

I don't know. Do I ? I know they are even heavier duty tires but I wouldn't think Ron would sell me a borderline weight carrying trailer/tire for my boat. Hmmmm.....

Sydwayz 09-04-2009 08:32 AM

You definately want 16" wheels/tires, period.

More options for tires.
Less rotations per mile equals less heat.
I'd go with LT truck tires vs. any trailer tire nowadays. I've been running Firestone Trans Force tires for a few years and love them.

Anchorman 09-04-2009 09:06 AM

I would certainly want 16" load range E' for a little more money you have a whole lot more tire. My new trailer is going to have them. I have 17" Wheels on my trailer now. and love them

Quinlan 09-04-2009 09:20 AM

Go 16s I had 15s on my baja trailer Always losing tires, ordered new trailer w 16s Not 1 problem Well except when I hit that board w nails sticking up!!! @#$%#%

Really? Why did you switch? I thought the"E" rated trailer tires were the shebang.
.

Sydwayz 09-04-2009 12:37 PM

Per recommendation from my tire guy. www.lightning-motorsports.com

A mutual friend got a Myco and the Firestones were on it when delivered. Since then I started swapping any tires on my trailer to the Firestone Trans Force LT. My old McClain trailer came with Road King tires which were also LT.

I now have a 2005 Myco that came with Goodyear HT LT tires on it from Myco. My trailer has plenty of miles on it and the original Goodyears are perfect (knock on wood).

I like LT tires as you can buy one just about anywhere, including WalMart, in a pinch. Trailer tires are a bit harder to come by.

Yes 16" wheels and E range LT tires. I have 17" Michelin tires on my Dodge dually and am very happy with them. If you want the ST tires www.maxxistires.com. I would stay away from Kenda they are cheap tires made in Asia.

If you want the best information listen to Sydwayz he is very knowledgeable about all this.

diggin H20 09-11-2009 08:18 AM

Okay, I upgraded to the 16" load range E tire and wheel package. I have not been able to locate good or bad either way on Kenda. That is what I am going to stick with I guess. I have to stop somewhere on this trailer. The price tag just keeps going up.....

kjberman 09-11-2009 02:52 PM

I noted i picked up my manning about a month ago. I went with the 16" 5 star rims - it came with an 85 series tire, I drove to the ozarks and back, not a problem. Trailer sits nice and high also, which works out great for me......you will be happy.

Anchorman 09-11-2009 04:52 PM

Well I put in my order a week ago for mine and am going with 16" as well. Aluminum, LED, E/H brakes, ... Cant wait.
