In the interest of compromise there are lots of diesel people who say the best truck is the Ford/Cummins. It's hard to argue with that. I think the best truck is the F650/Cummins, especially now that Caterpillar is out of the truck diesel market. I know the new 6.7 is coming out but we'll just have to wait and see how that works out for Ford. There are many reasons big rigs use inline 6 cylinder diesels.

I love the F650, and Dodge does not have a comparable truck. The 4500-5500 trucks look like 3500s. Dodge needs to step up to the F650 market with a complete redesign but the economy is likely holding that project back( if there IS such a project)...

About the only gripe I've heard about the F650 is the very harsh ride. Kelderman is the only suspension mfr that I know of that has a system designed specifically for that truck and it likely costs big buck$$$$$.
