I have a snowmobile for sale and was contacted from this guy in Finland who wants it. He agreed to pay for shipping if I can take care of everything. What is involved in doing such a thing as this?

call a broker they'll tell you and find you a shipper... make sure you get paid before. most of time they all want you to pay the shipping for them, they always say they'll pay the item purchased at the same time they'll pay the shipping. this usually end up like you paid the shipping, they receive the item and you don't get paid, neither the shipping, neither the item...

Definitely a scam. Do not do this. Why would someone in Finland pay a huge shipping bill to get a snowmobile? What they will do is send you a phony cashiers check for too much money and tell you to cash it and send them the difference back by Western Union. They will say some excuse why the check is to much but by the time you bank realizes that it is a bad check you will have sent the cash to a foreign country and will never see it again and be on the hook with your bank for the money. I take reports like these too often and just have to shake my head. They are usually from Nigeria or Dominican Republic. Usually countries that will not cooperate with the U.S. in catching these SCUM BAGS!!!

Two separate transactions. Buyer pays for vintage snowmobile with one wire transfer.
Buyer should engage the transport company directly. You do not want to be in the middle listing you as the shipper and paying the transport. If you do, you then become liable for the shipment if it does not arrive or is damaged. Cooperate as much as possible by providing info and linking up with the broker.
At least that's how I have done it in my dealership. We ship numerous boats to Europe.
