I ran the stock Goodyear for a year . Get it "Good Year" .
Then ran Michelin LTX load range E . Loved those tires .
Now after wearing out the stock Goodyears on my next truck I tried Nitto Grappelers . Lots of traction but they are noisey and are wearing fast . I wish I would have spent a couple more dollars and went with the Michelins again .
If you plan on keeping the truck go Michelin.

I second the vote for Michilens. I am on my second set. This time I went with the LTX AT2 in a 285/55/20 because I bought 20" wheels. They have been great. A bit pricey but they are AT's and they are quiet.

I just repalced my 275/65/20 Goodyear stock tires on my 08 F350 after 40K with Toyo Open Country AT 325/60/20. They are about 1.5 inches taller. They are load rage D tires. Softer ride, look better and quiet. I had to bring it to Ford to set the computer to a lesser tire pressure so the light would stay off. The stock tires sucked in the rain, always did.

BFGoodrich All Terrain KO
Michelin LTX
BFGoodrich Rugged Trail

...in that order; as far as quality goes. The KO will be a bit louder.

Best and cheapest do not go together. Theres no such thing as a Cheap load E tire.... if there is its probaly junk.I love my cooper SST's. more of a trail tire with big lugs but traction on the road is really better than I thought. Load E also.

I got TOYO open country A/T on mine and with 15K on them they are starting to suck not good in the snow. They are on a 06 chevy 2500hd with 4 wd. I also had a set of BridgeStone Revos they were a great tire. I was buying them whole sale for 100.00 a tire LR E

Michelin LTX is my vote. Probably does not fit in the cheap tire category though. Excellent tire though..

I really like my Nokian Vatiiva's also. Compared to the BFGoodrich All Terrain's My parents put on theirs, These last longer and are better in the snow. I have to agree with the guys above, Load range E just does not come cheap.
