Well I hope you won't have many new-motor problems. What I don't understand is Ford started with a clean sheet and chose the inferior V8 platform. The inline 6 has proven to be the superior engine design.
But the Scorpion will set a new bar, making GM and Chrysler step up to the plate with more power of get left behind. This motor will affect the Duramax's sales more than the Cummins though. The heavy haulers will still go with Cummins.

All ford trucks with the 6.4 powerstroke do NOT require the cab to come off. That was a 6.0 thing. And yes, politics aside...cummins/dodge just plain rock.

sorry but your mistaken. we hardly ever pull the cab on a 6.0 even to do head gaskets, 6.4 the cab comes off for most major repairs. we have seen far fewer problems with 6.4's than 6.0's but the repairs are much more complicated & time consuming.

...I have a 2011 6.7 on order and probably will get the Cummins vs the Duramax this time...
Well you'll have a turbo brake with the 6.7 Cummins now. If you want a really stout truck get a 4500 with the 4.44 rear end and order an aluminum bed with it. You'll have the biggest brakes in its class to go along with the turbo brake and a much stronger frame as well.

I have a 2008 f450 and pull my 47 fountain all the time. It has a 4.88 rear and I get 8.0 mpg towing and 12.0 empty. I have had no problems
at all. I guess I'm lucky. I think the 4:88 is important for pulling a big load but milage plummets after 70 mph. I don't think it's safe to tow that fast anyway. I had a 6.0 which I chipped (big mistake).
I used to tow with a big truck which was completely impractical and uncomfortable even with airride. The 6.4 is so quiet that I don't think I could ever go back to a loud diesel.

The 2010 Ram is rated 18,5000lb on the gooseneck or 5th wheel. Is your trailer a gooseneck? AFAIK they come with only a Class 4 receiver hitch which is what 11,000lbs? That's a lot of weight differential...
