Manning all the way. Less expensive but better built in my opinion. I got mine in Oct and Love it.

magnum here in austin...

Tom, are you shopping for your boat?

Take it over to McClain in your backyard and see what they have to offer. Clark's trailer is really built well all except for the winch stand which needs some tweaking.

I purchased a 97 step fountain, looking for a new trailer. What happened to the thread with all the details on Clark's trailer?

Thanks, T:coolcowboy:

Yeah the Eagle's are pretty well built-trailers. Heritage are nice too. Best thing is to find the best, local builder.

Extreme makes a great trailer. Completely custom. a lot of eth West Coast guys use them and I have found them to be timely and reliable.

I took my 20 year old trailer form another mfgr there 2 years ago for disc brake upgrade and freshening and they did a great job. (wasnt what Id call cheap , but the work was professional.

These are the guys that suppply a lot of components to the RV industry as well.

Check out the awesome SS line.

I purchased it from Shogren back in November. I don't think it was a OSO members boat.

If you have a 42 Fountain that tops 105, put it on a Myco.

Club 105 is a local storage facility a bunch of us store our boats at. We spend a lot of time there twisting wrenches and drinking cold ones. I would prefer a Myco, i am just to cheap to pay the money for a new one. :coolcowboy:

I've had Eagles under both my Fountains and very pleased with the build quality and the hull support. I think Eagle has since had new owners and moved, so no idea on current quality. A buddy had a Manning and it was a really nice trailer also, however, I never cared for how they attached the bunks to the uprights. Appeared to be self tapping screws right thru the top of the bunk and into the support mounting plate. Just something about a screw head being so close to the hull bottom.... If either the screwed backed out or you need to dig it out from the wood in order to remove it, you'll be cuss'n.

I have two from Performance Trailer, all are custom build and can't beat the price

Call Loadmaster out of Port Clinton, OH. www.loadmastertrailerco.com

I ordered one this summer and couldnt be happier. Even with shipping cost, no one in Texas could compare cost wise. I paid just over $7200 (included shipping cost) for a painted 16000lbs 3x axle with 3 elec brakes and brake flush kit. No one in Texas could do it for less than $8500. My buddy has a 5th wheel one too and loves it. They also do fully galv dipped trailers too and step boat as well. For me cost was a concern and I kept comming back to these guys. My dealership is even looking into them as they were not happy with Roadrunner and liked the quality of Loadmaster.

Another vote for the Manning. Just purchased an aluminum tri-axle from Ron in September. Nice quality, custom built for my boat, and affordable.

I am having Loadmaster from Ohio build my tri-axle trailer this winter, they've been excellent to work with, price is very good, and I've heard great things about them. I look forward to taking delivery of it!
