35's on an 2002 Ford f250

Can or has anyone put 35's on a 2002 ford f250 without a leveling kit?

you might be able to squeeze them in if you have X code springs but still get a little rubbing i have them on my Ecursion

I have an 05 f-250 with a 2.5 leveling kit and they dont rub at all.

A lot depends on the actual tire, and the rim size. "35s" could be a host of different overall widths and diameters depending on the aforementioned; and wheel backspacing plays a role as well.

The tires I am thinking about are 315/75/16 Mickey Thompson ATZ's on stock rims. You think they will fit without rubbing?

That's a lot of rubber on the factory 16" wheels. They are going to be heavy, and difficult to keep balanced, and they are going to give the truck more "squirm" especially when towing.

I'd recommend going to an 18x8 or 18x9 wheel if you want to run bigger rubber. Your footprint will be bigger and wider, and your towing stability will be noticeably increased.

look at the vin sticker on the door there should be a spring code either X/X
or something like that the wheels you are talking about should basicly fit with out a lift kit

i don't have a leveling kit i just have f-250 X code springs or plow package springs and they fit with minimal rubbing

I tried the 315s on my 250 and thats what I thought. They moved around alot when towing.I got rid of them and have run a 285 in E range since. They still move around a little more than 265s but, not bad at all

I'm seriously considering the Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 285/75/17 for my dually (might be 285/70/17?). Close to a 34 x 11 tire but I need thinner the better for dual rear wheels. Main thing holding me back is the tires on the truck only have 10,000 miles.

NO do you get any rubbing anywhere? What did you do to get the 1"?

northernoffshore 03-22-2010 04:36 PM

I got some stock 1" blocks and I think my truck is a commercial model and might be slightly taller. Yes they do rub at lock to lock over bumps barely.

BFG 315/75/16 on 02 excursion rub the wheel shrouds on a lock turn. Stock rims, stock suspension
