+1 SCT...i have heard good things about them.

I would look into Spartan Diesel as they provide a wide variety of custom tunes to fit whatever need you may have.

For what it is worth I am not a very bug fan of Edge. Great customer support and very good people to work with. BUT I went through 5 boxes before giving up on them... at times it was down right DANGEROUS the problems I had with it in the normal heat of the summer. Unless it was just with my truck which a GMC (it could be just model related) but I had heard from other people that the boards inside the box had some issues with heat.

Just my 2c and if you go with Edge do your research.

It's up in the air between diablosport predator tuner $280 or the SCT dpf delete kit from rpm outlet $1100...?????

Are they mutually exclusive? If not, go with the Tuner first. The Tuner is a very valuable tool over and and beyond just tuning. It's with the money.

If not good enough, go with the DPF Delete.

The dpf delete is sold as a kit with a tuner that has tunes on it only available with the delete kit. It allows the truck to skip the regen process so fuel is not wasted, that is it's main advantage to me. They are claiming over 600 rwhp with this "kit". Just wondered what some of you guys were running on the 6.4 and what real world performance you were seeing. I am currently stock and don't see any better than 13 mpg!!!!!

you say head studs...Ford never to my knowledge put studs in.... they just came up with a different gasket and torque on the bolts. I will say any 6.0 if you are going to run a tuner needs studs. From what my service man says, it's just a matter of time on any truck before the bolts stretch. Just added the studs to mine, but I am running an sct. because you said to give them a call.. Thanks it has been great fun with that tuner.

you are correct, my bad..different torque on bolts..I put head studs on my 05 2500..Sct tuner, 3.5 turbo back, cat delete into duals..and was turning 13.3's at the track..The 06 and 07's I just left the tow tune on and have 2 over 100k at the moment with no major problems. My 08 6.4 I left stock..got tired of trying to make a truck my fast car..

the other thing to think about..and read a few other comments above on other tuner or programmers. The SCT works with the transmission, only 2 companies do this. It raises pressure to get direct and more precise shifts along with some of the more HP tunes has the ability to program any or all torque converter lock up in any or all gears except 1st.
