OBDII code scanner
I'm looking for recommendations on a low cost OBDII code reader.

I've got an Actron I got from Advanced for around $80. They have a better one that is like $120 which has better monitor features but I needed it quick and they didn't have the upper grade one. It works fine and will do the basics either way.

A LOT of the guys on "The Diesel Garage" and "The Diesel Stop" use AutoEnginuity. It interfaces with your laptop and you can buy specific components for whatever car you are working on that have more in depth applications for that specific vehicle. I've got one that I bought from Advance Auto. I like it.
However, if you are looking into getting a Tuner for any of your vehicles, I'd look into the Diablo Sport Predator PowerTuner. You can adjust the tuning of the assigned vehicle's ECM anytime, but it's also an ODB-II reader and streams live data while driving, on any vehicle. |
