2010 250 with the 6.2
 
is the 6.2 enough motor in the new f250's?

Pulling a 280 velocity. My 150 does ok, but we need a crew cab, so will be upgrading soon.

gotta tell ya, i'm looking REAL hard at these and I really like them

i've driven 4-5 already

6.2 gas with 4.30's pulls like a train, 380hp, 405 tq

most have 3.73's so far

6 speed auto tranny and trailer controller std.

as soon as someone buys my Tahoe, it's a done deal

Male sure you ask what trans is in it. The 11s share the new 6R140 with the diesel Super Dutys, baddest factory trans on the market right now.

But I have to ask, why do you not want the Scorpion diesel?

That truck is over kill for the 28 footer.

My new 2010 Ram Crew Cab with the 5.7 at 390hp and 400+ ft/tq pulls my 28 foot Silencer like it isnt even there.

The truck has 3.92 gears and is rated just under 10,000 lbs pulling capacity.
Tractor type pulling power and 1/2 ton comfort ride= nice ride.
Just my .02 cents

I also plow snow in the winter, so for how I use my truck, I really need a 3/4 ton.

I am a die hard ford guy, always have been.

I don't want to pay for the upgrade for the diesel, and would rather stick with gas. Plus with Ford's latest 2 diesels, I'll let them come out, and be tested a while before I go the diesel route.

My 150 does ok, but its an extended cab with 125 on the odometer. Would be nice to have a little more power, and little more suspension.

Great motor, great low end tq..and you save the 7+k by not going diesel... The POSSIBLE downside is when you go to trade it in.. will it be like the V-10 or 5.4 in the 250 now... Know one knows... personally I like it.. but I ordered a diesel cause I need the extra grunt... the tranny works extremely well with this gas package...

What's the towing capacity of the gasser (with 3.73 vs/or 4.30)?

Also curios what the capacity is on the new 6.7 diesel vs the gasser?

That 6.2 with the 4.30 gears will tow 15k (dually).

Yes but no one would put a 6.2L gas motor in a dually. The mileage would be horrible(worse than the 6.4) and resale...hell you couldn't give it away. I'm really surprised Ford offers it in the dually. Dodge does not offer the Hemi in their dually.

Lots of people put gas engines in 3/4 ton trucks though. My redneck neighbor has a 3/4 ton Chevy gas truck.
