I would say you're very lucky, or maybe you didn't notice when it did...

I have a 2006 quad cab dually and the manual trans. It's an SLT work truck power driver's seat and satellite radio. I have seen 27mpg but normally I get 21-22 hwy. I like the truck but I wish I could trade for the new Laramie dually. Great amenities and IMO the best looking dually on the market.

on the MPG.......hand calculated or on board computer?

If you have a 30 gallon tank @ 27 MPG you would have over an 800 mile range and be in the Guiness book of World Records!

exactly.... the 6.7 Ford with 3.55 gears, 73-74mph light on the throttle I am averaging 20.2-20.8... on the lie-o-meter.. hand calculated is approx. .4 less... still good though..and not broke in yet

LOL it was a short downhill run(about five miles) with the wind at my back. My overhead lie-ometer shows 3mpg+ more than hand calc. It normally shows 24-25mpg on level ground which is wrong, but I have seen it at 27-28 wind-aided.

Even with real world calc, 21-22mpg is great for a 7500lb truck.

In the diesel World test they were getting 25-26 running 40 in 6th gear. I think you'll see 3mpg better when the engine breaks in. I'm very impressed with the engineering of the new Scorpion. Ford finally go it right. Damned shame they're building it in Mexico.

Are you saying your overhead is only .4 mpg off??

New engine is impressive, and so smooth for a diesel.

I have towed my 11k trailer ... 13.9mpg but was heavy on throttle to feel the torque..very pleased..actually I really enjoy driving this truck. It has a different front end, soft, but easily guided than any 1 ton Ive driven. The new 6" running boards are also a great addition...and the navigation and dash works better than before...well laid out with a better feel of materials..

Towed my boat for the first time. I about forgot it was there. Great engineered truck the outside looks are the only thing that's the same. A great truck. Mine feels like a swiss watch.
