Between the conversion, having the coupler welded solid, having the tonge repainted by a autobody shop, I had a little under $2k. Granted I spent almost 1/2 just for the cosmetics looks, but it looks like it was always a solid tonge trailer w/ EOH. You'll never go back after towing with EOH.
Back on topic... As mentioned, relocating and mounting the solenoid solid is the answer. Disc brakes need the solenoid. Strange why yours keep breaking off. Mine was screwed directly to the master cyl. and never been an issue.

I have an Extreme trailer and it is disc brakes with the back-up solenoid. My trailer tongue slides in and out and I have a 3"thick piece of plastic/teflon machined like a horseshoe that fits in between the slding section of mine. In order to get it on there right I have to block the trailer wheels in the front and pull forward to extend the trailer tongue all the way out then slide it on. It is a pain in the ass. It's something you have to have with you any time you pull the trailer even if your existing one works, you never know when your solenoid is going to go out. I have the new bypas solenoid just am not sure how to bleed the brakes when I open up the. My solenoid is hidden up in the tonge which is a swing away type.
