What kind of tires for a F250???

I have an 05 harley edition f250 and its ready for some new tires. I do alot of highway traveling and tow the boat on the weekends. What tire would you suggest? I'm not really looking for a mudding tire I don't beleive. I think I need more of like a highway performance tire. Is there anything aggressive looking that is not super loud and good for the highway. I am not a member on the ford and f250 sites so just thought I would see if anyone here had any good ideas.

I have these tires and they're not as aggressive as he wants. The new Nitto Trail Grapplers would work really well for you kyboy. Diesel Power mag did a test of five tires and they rated the TGs very high in dirt, mud and rain, with very little hwy noise.

Did you read his post? Not for mud, lots of highway travel......LTX is the call! They are now called LTX II's though

Dude I was just sayin the TG is a great all around tire. The LTX is a great tire too but it did do quite well in the snow we had here earlier this year. Not so good in the rain though.

Yes, after 28,000 miles mine are more than half gone. The salesman told me 70k. Would a salesman lie?? :angry-smiley-044:

tires

I recently changed to the LTX. I chose to step up to LT285 instead of stock LT265 size. They ride smooth and quiet. You will have to become accustomed to the higher pressures of the E range.

My stock goodyears got me 90,000 miles before I sold my 07 F-350 harley edition. I think tire life has a lot to do with driving style and geography. Guys chipping the diesels and getting 11mpg most likely won't see 40,000 miles on their tires.

My dually is bone stock with a manual trans so I don't hotrod it. I can't lol. I just think these Michelins are not high mileage like I was led to believe. Which Goodyears did you have, I might go with those next change.
